Is booking required?

Yes, booking is mandatory. Ours is not a scheduled bus service but a private collective transport service: you cannot board without having booked in advance. It is not possible to book or pay directly on the bus.

How much does a booking cost?

Which stops are available?

The service covers the route Patti – Portorosa – Falcone – Barcellona P.G. – Milazzo – Rometta Marea – Messina – Catania Airport and vice versa. All pick-up points and timetables are listed on the Prices & Schedules page.

How do I recognise my shuttle?

All our drivers and vehicles will display a sign with the company name and logo, clearly visible at the airport exit.

Where can I book?

Can I cancel or change a booking?

Accepted Answer

You can modify a booking up to two consecutive times. In case of cancellation no refund is issued, but a voucher of equal value valid for 1 year will be issued. For full details please refer to the Terms and Conditions.

Are there discounts for students, seniors or people with reduced mobility?

No discounts are currently offered. Each passenger must hold a valid ticket in order to occupy a seat.

Can unaccompanied minors travel?

Accepted Answer

Italian minors who have reached the age of 14 may travel unaccompanied, in accordance with current legislation on passports and identity documents (Law No. 1185/1967).

What do I need to show after booking online?

Accepted Answer

Once payment is complete you can download your booking confirmation. It will also be sent by email — you can show it directly from your smartphone, no need to print.

How can I book without a credit card?

You can also use a PayPal account to book online. Alternatively, you can book in person at our offices or at a partner agency.

How much time should I allow before departure or after my flight lands?

To the airport — average journey times:
From Patti: approx. 3 hours
From Portorosa / Falcone: approx. 2 hours 30 minutes
From Barcellona P.G.: approx. 2 hours 15 minutes
From Milazzo: approx. 2 hours
From Rometta Marea: approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
From Messina: approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

From the airport — allow at least 30 minutes for baggage collection and any customs checks.

How many bags can I bring?

Each passenger is entitled to: 1 piece of hand luggage (max 35×20×20 cm, 10 kg) to be kept with you and 1 hold bag (max 55×85×40 cm, 20 kg). For extra luggage you must notify us at the time of booking: a surcharge will apply.

Can you provide a child seat?

Yes, subject to notification at the time of booking and payment of €7.00. A child seat is required by law for all children under 150 cm in height.

Are the buses equipped for wheelchair users?

Standard shuttle vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. However, we provide personalised services with suitable vehicles: please contact us at least 48 hours before departure by email at info@autonoleggiodipaola.com or on +39 090 939 1520.

What happens if I miss the shuttle or my flight is delayed?

If you notify us in advance, you are entitled to use the next available shuttle at no extra cost, subject to seat availability.

Can I bring a bicycle, surfboard or ski equipment?

As our buses have limited capacity, we cannot guarantee the transport of bulky items in advance. It will depend on the number of passengers on the shuttle.

Can animals travel?

Small animals are permitted if carried in a suitable covered container or cage, provided you notify us at the time of booking and pay a supplement of €12.00. Assistance dogs are always welcome free of charge.
