Terms and conditions applicable to the transfer service to and from Catania Airport

This document governs the general terms and conditions of service applicable to collective transport (shuttle) to and from Catania Airport, provided by DIPAOLA VIAGGI S.R.L.
These conditions are deemed fully accepted at the time of booking.
1. Introduction
The service is provided by DIPAOLA VIAGGI S.R.L., registered office at Piazza Arigò 1, 98044 San Filippo del Mela (ME), VAT no. 03369700830, hereinafter also referred to as “the Company”. The service is offered through the online booking platform available at www.autonoleggiodipaola.com and is subject to the terms and conditions set out herein.
2. Service Description
The service consists of collective transport by shuttle of passengers to and from Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA) according to routes, stops, timetables and fares published on the official website. The service is private and not a scheduled line service, and is accessible exclusively by advance booking.
Routes currently served include, by way of example and not limitation:
- Patti
- Falcone
- Portorosa
- Barcellona P.G.
- Milazzo (Motorway junction and Port)
- Rometta Motorway junction
- Messina Boccetta (Palacultura)
- Messina Tremestieri (On The Run)
3. Bookings and Payments
3.1 Mandatory Booking
The shuttle service is accessible only by advance booking. It is not possible to board without having made a booking and the relevant payment, except in exceptional cases authorised by the Company.
3.2 How to Book

- At the Company's offices or partner agencies
3.3 Payment Methods
- Online, by credit/debit card or PayPal
- In cash, in exceptional cases and subject to prior authorisation, directly on board
3.4 Prices and Supplements
Fares vary according to the departure location. A higher rate may apply for last-minute bookings. Current prices are published on the official website.

3.5 Refund and Change Policy
A booking may be modified up to two times:
- First change: free of charge
- Second change: permitted with a supplement of €3.00
In the event of cancellation, no cash refund will be issued: a voucher of equal value will be issued, redeemable against another booking and valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
4. Conditions of Travel
4.1 Access to the Service
The passenger must present themselves at the meeting point with sufficient time to spare, holding the confirmed booking (digital or printed).
4.2 Luggage
Each passenger is entitled to carry:
- 1 piece of hand luggage (max 35×20×20 cm – max 10 kg)
- 1 hold bag (max 55×85×40 cm – max 20 kg)
Any additional luggage must be declared at the time of booking and will incur a supplement.
4.3 Minors
Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Minors aged 14 and over may travel unaccompanied in accordance with applicable law (Law No. 1185/1967).
4.4 Animals
Small animals are permitted only if notified at the time of booking, carried in a suitable closed container, and subject to payment of the applicable supplement. Guide dogs are always admitted at no extra charge.
4.5 Special Equipment
The transport of bicycles, surfboards or bulky sports equipment is not guaranteed and depends on available space on the vehicle.
4.6 Accessibility
Standard service vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. However, adapted vehicles can be requested with at least 48 hours' notice by writing to info@autonoleggiodipaola.com.
4.7 Child Seats
As required by Italian law, children under 150 cm in height must travel in an appropriate child seat. A child seat can be booked for the applicable supplement (€7.00).
5. Passenger Responsibilities
5.1 Accurate data
The passenger is responsible for the accuracy of the data entered at the time of booking.
5.2 Conduct on board
During the journey, passengers must behave in a civil and respectful manner towards staff and fellow travellers.
5.3 Regulatory compliance
The passenger undertakes to comply with all applicable regulations on passenger transport.
6. Company Liability
6.1 Service guarantee
The Company undertakes to provide the service as described at the time of booking, except in cases of force majeure or events beyond its reasonable control.
6.2 Missed shuttle or flight delay
In the event of a flight delay, upon prior notification, the passenger may use the next available shuttle at no additional cost, subject to seat availability.
7. Service Changes and Cancellations
7.1 Changes by the Company
The Company reserves the right to modify timetables, stops or travel conditions, giving reasonable prior notice.
7.2 Service cancellation
In the event of service cancellation by the Company, the passenger may choose between a full refund, a voucher of equal value, or another equivalent agreed solution.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. The competent court for any dispute is that of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (ME), unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law.
