Shuttle Bus from Falcone to Catania Airport

The shuttle bus picks up passengers at the A20 Motorway Junction (Casello Autostradale A20), Falcone (ME). It is reachable from the A20 motorway and from the SS113 coastal road.

If you are coming from Tindari or the village centre, allow 5–10 minutes to reach the junction. Be there at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure — the shuttle bus comes from Patti and Portorosa further along the coast and cannot delay for late arrivals.

For early morning flights, run A1-bis departs Falcone at 02:20 and arrives at Catania Fontanarossa at 04:50 — well placed for flights from 07:00 onwards, giving you time for check-in and security.

Calculate backwards: flight at 10:30? Subtract 2 hours for check-in and security (need to be at airport by 08:30), then subtract 2 hours 45 minutes for the shuttle journey. That means you need to board at 05:45. The 05:05 run (A2, arriving 07:40) gives you comfortable time.

Falcone is roughly 165 km from Catania Airport. The route is almost entirely motorway, so journey times are predictable barring major incidents. That said, never cut it too fine — give yourself at least 2 hours at the airport.

Declare extra luggage at booking, not on the day. The driver sorts out space before leaving and last-minute bags can cause problems for other passengers.
